CO-FOUNDER, CEO
Benjamin Hanna
Ben has spent three decades on five continents building collaborative teams driven to solve problems. His desire to make a difference led him to work 10 years in Slovakia and post-war Serbia and Bosnia. As CEO of Healing: Global, Ben works alongside the staff and Board of Directors to shape strategy and empower international partners to launch a movement focused on life-saving medical care.

Monique Chireau Wubbenhorst, MD
MPH, FACOG, FAHA
A practicing board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with over 30 years’ experience, Monique received her medical degree from Brown University and an MPH from Harvard. She served 15 years as a faculty member at Duke University School of Medicine, was the Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Global Health at USAID, and currently is a Senior Research Associate at the Center for Ethics and Culture, University of Notre Dame. Her international clinical career has focused on caring for women in underserved and disadvantaged populations.

Meredith Hanna
Meredith is a compassionate force behind Healing: Global. Inspired by a hospital expansion in Uganda and a transformative trip there, her eyes were opened to a vastness of need she had never experienced. Compelled to action, Healing: Global was born. Married to Ben for 33 years, they’ve raised four adventurous children. Navigating personal medical challenges and experiencing world-renowned health care fueled her desire to make a difference, to save lives, and to feel alive!

VICE CHAIR
Todd Golden
A Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army, Todd serves as Garrison Command Chaplain, Fort Hunter Liggett, California. Todd brings strategic leadership to the board. He has pastored churches in Georgia and Tennessee and has traveled extensively as a Global Missions Pastor, engaging with 25 international/national partnerships. His 11 years of service in Sarajevo, Bosnia, honed his ability to lead in challenging, diverse environments. Married for 33 years to his wife, Kim, they are proud parents to three grown daughters.
SECRETARY/TREASURER
Jeff Chance
Jeff is co-founder of Fortis Title and its family of title companies. Under his leadership Fortis Title has grown to 12 offices with more than 100 employees, providing trusted land title closing services across Texas. As an attorney Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Commercial and Residential Real Estate Law, his law practice focuses on real estate, lending, and business transactions. Jeff and his wife are active members of their community and church. A competitive open water swimmer, he regularly competes in coast-to-coast events.
BOARD MEMBER
May Bahizi Masozera, RN, BSN
Born and raised in Uganda, May brings a rich and varied background to Healing: Global. She trained as a teacher at Makerere University, Uganda, and later received a BSN from UT Medical Branch in Texas. May has worked extensively in women’s health and currently is a Mental Health Nurse with the US Department of Veteran Affairs, giving her a front row seat to the challenges of poverty, mental and physical health disparities, and their synergistic impact. May is committed to the revitalization of health-care facilities in rural areas. She and her husband of 30 years have two grown children.

BOARD MEMBER
Phil Lakin, Jr.
Phil has led Tulsa Community Foundation as CEO since its founding in 1998, shaping it into one of the largest and most impactful community foundations in the United States. He serves as the Tulsa City Councilor for District 8 and is deeply engaged with several national and regional nonprofit boards. Phil previously worked for Baylor University, overseeing fundraising efforts across northeastern Texas and six other states. Phil has hiked or climbed to the summits of all 70 of the 14,000-foot peaks in the continental US.
MEDICAL ADVISOR
Nicholas Masozera, MD, MPH
Dr. Nicholas Masozera is a Board-Certified Internist with over 30 years of experience and currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Health By Design in San Antonio, Texas. He is a graduate of Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and holds a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University in New York. He served as Associate Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine while Chief of Primary Care at The Michael DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston. He subsequently also served as the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System. He is passionate about Preventive Health Care.
